Trustees
Trustees act together to carry out 3 main functions:
1. ensuring there is clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
2. holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils and the performance management of staff.
3. overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent.
National Governance Association recognises the following as the fourth core function of governance:
4. ensuring the voices of stakeholders are heard.
Trustees are responsible for governing a charitable company and directing how it is managed and run. Trustees must also ensure that the trust complies with all legal and statutory requirements. Trustees should seek the advice of the board’s governance professional and other professional advice as appropriate. This is the main difference between a Trustee and a School Governor, though often the words are used interchangeably.
For more information about our Trustees, please look at the governor’s page of the website.
Senior Leadership
As a trust our senior leadership team also have some additional responsibilities.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) roles are held by our headteacher, Nicola Parker-Watts.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role is carried out by the school’s Business Manager, Matt Ridley.
